Snet is a free ad-free VPN proxy service that provides a faster and more open internet. It allows users to remain anonymous while browsing the web.
This Chrome extension is not a peer-to-peer application and does not promote or encourage the download of any other products. It functions fully as it is, without requiring any additional downloads.
Snet requires certain permissions, including Proxy, AllHosts / WebRequest / WebRequestBlocking, Tabs, Cookies, and Storage. The Proxy feature allows Snet to route your traffic through a server in another country, changing your IP and unblocking restricted websites. The AllHosts / WebRequest / WebRequestBlocking permission allows Snet to check and modify each web request. The Tabs permission enables Snet to track your tabs and activate the VPN only on specific tabs, displaying a popup on the page for you to enable, disable, and troubleshoot connection issues. The Cookies permission allows Snet to access your cookies, which may need to be cleared in order to access certain sites from another country. Lastly, the Storage permission allows Snet to store local configurations and cache data.
